mix to match your income goals? Craig Chase, a Farm & Ag Management Field Specialist,
will show you how to use enterprise budgets to make pricing, product mix, and production
changes, use partial budgets to make investment decisions like machinery and land and how
to use whole-farm records to evaluate how your business is doing and make educated
business decisions.

Breast Cancer Survivors Group meeting changed
Breast Cancer Survivors Group: We will not meet the first Tuesday of January! We will meet for dinner (free will donation) at Windsor Manor at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 13. We will then proceed to the high school for the Vinton-Shellsburg Breast Cancer Awareness Pink girls' basketball game against Marion.
Winter Break activities scheduled
School is out for Winter Break but does that now mean you have to be stuck inside and bored to tears watching rerun TV? Of course not! The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department has plenty of upcoming activities to keep Vinton-Shellsburg youth occupied while celebrating the holiday season!
The Winter Carnival at the Vinton Skate & Activity Center will take place from 9 AM – 11 AM on Tuesday, December 27th.
Help for Adults Transitioning to College Life
Kirkwood Admission office hosts New Adult Learner Welcome Day, January 9; event designed to dispel myths about returning to college.
Kirkwood Community College will hold a reception for adults who are planning to return to college or start for the first time. The free event is set for Monday, January 9, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 125, Iowa Hall, on Kirkwood’s main Cedar Rapids campus.

Christmas Eve Before You Leave
On Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 7pm, Wesley United Methodist Church will host Christmas Eve Before You Leave. In a lessons and carols format with featured solos by Lori Ferguson and Douglas Yenser, worship concludes with lighting candles and singing Silent Night. If you leave town for Christmas or your Christmas Eve is jammed full, please come and sing your favorite carols.
